From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Lucile Folse Aly (born 1913) was a scholar and writer from Eugene, Oregon. She worked as a professor and is most well known for her biography of John Neihardt titled Western Writer Series John G. Neihardt. In her findings she followed him through his years in liberal education. Neihardt lived for 92 years, so in order to write his biography, Aly scoured through diary entries, family letters, notes, manuscripts, and newspaper clippings to piece together this man's life. She became good acquaintances with him after consistent interviews with Neihardt and his family over a 15 year period.

She is also a co-author of American Short Speeches; an Anthology, and A Rhetoric Speaking. These two books speak to her scholastic achievements as her home state of Oregon used her book, A Rhetoric Speaking to help develop in their sequential program English curriculum on rhetoric.
