Biography
Lucy was a religious, hardworking, obedient, intelligent, responsible individual, raised in a conservative family. She was the eldest sibling. Lucy's family lived a simple life. From a young age, she cared for her younger siblings, as their parents worked long hours.
Despite financial struggles, Lucy managed to complete high school. She sacrificed her aspirations of becoming a lawyer to help support her family and send her siblings to school, but her parents discouraged her from pursuing college due to financial constraints. She obeyed her parents and found employment to support the entire Aroma family.
Later in life, circumstances changed, affecting her behavior and outlook. Problems and obstacles arose, leading to a change in Lucy's actions and outlook. Gina Aroma and her siblings made every effort to care for Lucy until they learned, through news reports and television, that she had committed suicide on 30 August 2012 at the LRT 1 EDSA Station.[6]
