Lucy Hall
Lucy Hall (born August 1983) is a British entrepreneur and digital media founder specialising in social media marketing and artificial intelligence. She is the founder of SocialDay, the United Kingdom's largest annual social media marketing festival, and Digital Women, a digital skills community. She is also the director of SocialDay Ltd (Formerly Skills of The Future Ltd.)
Early life and career
Hall developed an early interest in online commerce. At the age of 17, she became one of the first power sellers on eBay, selling products including fitness equipment, which she has credited as the origin of her interest in online marketing.[1]
She subsequently built a career in social media marketing and digital skills. In 2015, she launched her first event in partnership with NatWest, which developed into SocialDay — an annual social media marketing festival held in London.
She co-founded Digital Women in partnership with NatWest, a community created with the stated mission of building digital skills among over one million women in the United Kingdom. As of 2025, the community had grown to more than 200,000 members.[2]
Hall is the director of SocialDay Ltd (formerly Skills of The Future Ltd), the company that encompasses SocialDay and Digital Women.[3]
She has appeared on BBC Radio Kent and Times Radio as a commentator on social media and digital marketing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was a regular contributor to BBC Radio Kent as a social media expert.[4] In April 2026 she appeared on the Times Radio Breakfast programme, hosted by Rosie Wright and Peter Cardwell.[5] She has also written for HuffPost UK, Social Media Examiner, and Business2Community.[6]
Hall has worked as a brand ambassador and paid creator for Canva, Adobe Express, and Constant Contact.[7] She has raised £250,000 in investment for her ventures and built communities totalling over 200,000 members.
SocialDay
SocialDay is an annual social media marketing festival and publisher based in London, founded by Hall in 2015. The festival features over 70 speakers, practical workshops, and networking for social media marketing professionals, and attracts more than 500 attendees per year.[8] SocialDay also organises the Social Media Marketing Awards, held annually in London, and publishes The Sauce, a weekly newsletter covering social media platform updates for marketing professionals.[9]
Digital Women
Digital Women is a community organisation founded by Hall in partnership with NatWest. It provides digital skills training, events, and resources for women, with a stated ambition to reach one million members. The organisation runs the Digital Women Awards annually and has hosted events through Enterprise Nation.[10] Hall has delivered AI training workshops through Digital Women, including sessions titled "Intro to AI and How to Embrace It".[11]
In 2026, Hall organised the Digital Women AI Build Day, a hackathon held at Canva's London office in which teams of women competed to prototype AI-powered solutions. The event was covered by EdTech Innovation Hub.[12] The winning team, HerRoute, developed a women's health technology platform addressing conditions including PCOS, and subsequently founded a company to build the product, having received a prize of £3,000.[13]
Hall is also the founder of AI Days, a new event platform at the intersection of artificial intelligence and marketing, launching in 2026.[14]
