Luis Alcaraz Pineda (born 1999), is a Mexican professional boxer. Born in the Mexican state of Sonora, Pineda made his professional boxing debut in 2017.[1]
Boxing career[edit]
Debut and beginnings (2017–2018)[edit]
In April 2017, Pineda made his professional boxing debut against the then-undefeated Mexican professional boxer Misael Cabrera Urias. The bout took place on 28 April at the Arena Itson in Sonora, which resulted in Pineda losing his debut fight by a knockout.[2]
On 22 September 2017, Pineda made his return to boxing against Pablo Poom Leal in Empalme. Pineda won the fight by an unanimous decision, thereby getting his first victory in professional boxing.[3] Following the victory, a month later, Pineda defeated Jose Adolfo Caro on 13 October at the Arena Itson by an unanimous decision.[4] On 10 February 2018, Pineda fought the Canadian professional boxer Roland Jeffery Membreno, which was his first fight outside Mexico.[5] The bout took place in Mississauga and resulted in Pineda getting knocked out in less than forty seconds.[6] Many months later, Pineda made his return to the ring against Josue Garcia on 28 September 2018 in Ciudad Obregon.[7] Pineda again lost his bout by a knockout and thereby took a long hiatus from boxing.[2]
Return to professional boxing (2020–2022)[edit]
After returning from a nearly-two year boxing hiatus, Pineda lost his return fight against Mexican professional boxer Adrian Torres Rodriguez on 17 October 2020 in Tecate.[2] On 12 March 2022, Pineda was defeated by Marcos Rios Gonzalez by an unanimous decision.[2]
Entering influencer boxing (2022-present)[edit]
On 20 August 2022, Pineda was announced to face the influencer KSI on the 27 August 2022 at the O2 Arena in London.[8] Pineda was defeated by KSI in the third round via knockout.[9][10][11] Pineda was knocked down at least seven times during the fight.[12]
On January 14 2023, Pineda was revealed as the "mystery opponent" on the KSI vs FaZe Temperrr crossover boxing match, and faced American influencer And Pro Boxer Brandon Davis. On March 14 2023, Pineda competed in the first tag team boxing bout under pro rules Along with former opponent Brandon Davis (0-1) Under the team name Los Pineda Coladas, Against the team of Paul Denino (0-1) & Anthony Vargas (Debut) Under the team name D-Generation Ice, The Team of Davis & Pineda won the bout by Technical Knockout.
On October 14 2023, Pineda competed in another tag team boxing bout under pro rules along with Brandon Davis (1-1) under the team name Los Pineda Coladas, Against the team of Alexander Burriss (1-0) & Nicholai Perrett (0-1) Under the team name Wassabi LMAO, This was for the MF-Tag Team Belts, The bout went all four rounds and ended in a draw.
