Luke Archer (b. 18th August 1989) is a British fashion designer, print designer and couturier and currently the creative director of his fashion brand of the same name. On 21st February 2013, Luke won the Alfa Romeo Young Designer of the Year award.[1] at University of St Andrews, Fife. Luke studied BA Fashion at Middlesex University, London; graduating in 2012[2]

Luke names the likes of Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Thierry Mugler as inspiration.

Education[edit]

Luke Attended North Hertfordshire College studying first diploma in art and design, achieve the highest grades the college had seen in 10 years[3]. He then did a two year National Diploma in art and design. After leaving college he attended Middlesex University to complete a BA degree. Graduating with an upper second degree.[4]

In 2012 Luke worked as an intern for fellow luxury fashion designer Jasper Garvida[5]

2010: Founding of the Luke Archer brand[edit]

After leaving Middlesex University, Luke founded his luxury brand Luke Archer, which saw him take his debut SS14 womenswear collection 'De L’océan' on Friday 13th September at London Fashion Week. Shown at The Rag Factory, Brick Lane. The brand is known for its use of lines and sweeping curves, and nature inspired prints within its designs, most evident in the showpieces of their AW16 'Ophidia' collection[6]

2016: Kickstarter & OPHIDIA[edit]

In September 2015, Luke launched a campaign on crowdfunding website Kickstarter to raise funds for his new collection titled 'OPHIDIA'. After a rigorous advertising campaign, Luke raised the £3,500 needed to launch the collection.[7] In February 2016, Luke premiered 'OPHIDIA' In Notting Hill, London.[8]

From 2012 - 2013 Luke worked as an intern for fellow luxury fashion designer Jasper Garvida[5]

In 2013, Luke worked with singer/songwriter Sandi Thom to create the bespoke wardrobe for her 2013/14 world tour[9]
