Luke Garrett is an American competitive speedcuber. He currently holds the Rubik's Cube One-Handed world record average of 7.72 seconds[1] and the 6th fastest Rubik's Cube single solve of 3.44 seconds.[2]
Career
Garrett entered his first WCA competition in June 2017.[3] He won his first competition in March of 2018, winning both the 3x3x3 and 2x2x2 events at BarbeCubing 2018.[4]
On 3 September 2022, Garrett set the North American Continental Record for 2x2x2 single with a time of 0.51 seconds.[5]
On 11 January 2025, Garrett became first in the world for WCA Sum of Ranks Average.[6] Then on 15 March 2025 he became first in the world for WCA Sum of Ranks Single. [7]
On 9 March 2025, Garrett set his first world record for 3x3x3 One-Handed Average with a time of 7.72 seconds.[8][9][10]
Throughout his career, Garrett has earned over one thousand medals at WCA competitions. Some of his notable results include second place at CubingUSA Nationals 2023 and third place in both the 3x3x3 One-Handed and Rubik's Clock at the Rubik's WCA World Championship 2023.[11]
