Plot[edit]

One night a woman sings a lullaby to her baby, Zachary and tucks him to bed while her husband is seen smashing mirrors. When leaving the baby alone, a dark figure scratches the baby's cheek and starts crying. Her mother, Vivian, alerted, returns to check and is horrified to see the baby dead.

Sometimes later a couple bring their newborn baby, Eli home where they received a box sent by the woman's mother who belonged to her sister. The box contained toys which belonged to Zachary as well as a book which she found and asks her husband, John, to read it as it is written in Hebrew. He suggests it is a religious or a lullaby book for children and asks her to sing it. For a period of time Rachel is unable to make Eli sleep, crying all the time and has to carry him everywhere she goes. Soon she decides to read the lullaby book to him and discovers that it makes Eli sleeps but at the same time a mirror is heard cracking.

One night Rachel hears the baby monitor crackling and notices a mysterious figure in the monitor which prompts her to check on Eli but doesn't see anything. The next day she hears baby cries and loud knocks on a door which abruptly stops. The same mysterious figure briefly appears in the mirror which gradually cracks right after she leaves. John also sees the figure when taking a shower with Rachel but does not believe him. He also notices the crack in the mirror. In the shopping mall, Rachel has an encounter with a dark old woman which follows her upon a power cut and is startled by it. The same night she again hears baby cries in the room even when holding Eli and flees when she discovers the same old woman hiding in the closet. She then calls John who checks the apartment but finds nothing and accidentally kills their pet parrot when startled by it. The couple then discuss about seeing the same old woman vividly and John believes her to be from the lullaby book which he then throws away. Later that night he hears Eli crying and sleep-walks outside to the trash bin where the lullaby book is buried and realizes it wasn't Eli.

The next day John takes Eli to a rabbi seeking help for exorcism while Rachel decides to visit her sister. John learns that Vivian also came to her for the same purpose but did not believe her and therefore she was unable to help John also. Vivian reveals to Rachel that Zachary was taken by the witch from the book upon singing the lullaby while her husband was killed by her crone, her servants and is willing to help Rachel protect Eli. When returning home an unpleasant John meets Vivian since she was supposed to be in the psych ward but then he receives a call from someone who could help him with the book. John is then revealed that the witch has to make three rituals in order to steal Eli where the first being to sing the lullaby, the second being to spill the blood from a pet and the third is from that of Eli. An incantation in Hebrew has to be said to keep the witch, Lilith away from Eli.

At home while an asleep Rachel caters for Eli, the crone spawns out of the closet trying to complete the ritual but Rachel wakes up in time to hold Eli without noticing them. Vivian then holds Eli and sings the lullaby to Eli raising suspicion to Rachel who is then told the truth, she was the one who sent the book to Rachel so that Lilith would take Eli and she would get Zachary back. The two starts a physical fight with Rachel being knocked unconscious. Vivian sees Lilith taking away Eli with a grin on her face. Rachel wakes up to realize Eli has been replaced by a golem, an imposter. She is then pulled in the mirror by Vivian and lands in Lilith's home, a dark place full of floating mirrors and covered with mutant dead babies. Vivian helps her find Eli, following his cries and is then confronted by a young Lilith who restrains Eli. Vivian stabs her with a piece of broken mirror and sacrifices herself to save Rachel who escapes with Eli in her arms. Lilith chokes Vivian to death while singing the lullaby song and seemingly possessing her. Rachel narrowly finds her way out by following John's prayers and both finishes the incantation to push Lilith away. But she then realizes the baby in her arms is Zachary and that Vivian previously switched them earlier.

John pays to get the book back and the couple discusses about what they should do next to get Eli back. In the darkness, a possessed Vivian holding Eli, is seen singing the lullaby song to him.
