Lyann Nguyen (born in the United States) better known as Credit Ninja is an inventor and financial services expert. Nguyen currently is the CEO of Recredit LLC.[1] She is best known for her three patents for "Method and system of advancing value from credit card account for use with stored value account"

She was previously the Treasure for Global Payments Solutions Inc.[2][3][4][5]

Career[edit]

In 2003 Nguyen along with Glen Geller, and Michael Crook formed Bulko Information Group and patented payment architectures for electronic funds transfer systems.[2][6][7] Nguyen eventually was defrauded out of $20M dollars and filed a lawsuit against her former partners. The lawsuit was settled in Nguyen's favor.[4][8][9][10] The fraud investigation was conducted by the FBI and resulted in Michael Crook and Rod Rieman being sentenced to 20 years in prison for fraud.[11][12] Nguyen was left in debt and had her assets seized as a result of the legal battle. Nguyen was able to rebuild her life by learning how to leverage credit.[4]

As of 2020, Nguyen is the CEO of ReCredit and helps people repair their credit.[13][14]
