Lylle Breier

Lylle Breier is an American entertainment executive who is the Executive Vice President of Marketing Partnerships and Special Events at The Walt Disney Company. She has worked at Disney since the late 1980s, overseeing global marketing partnerships, promotions, synergy initiatives, and large-scale special events for the studio.[1]

Career

Breier studied at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and began her Disney career as an undergraduate intern at Buena Vista Pictures in 1987.[2] She joined the company full-time and specialized in special events for Disney’s film releases. In 2000, Breier was promoted to Senior Vice President of Special Events at Walt Disney Studios.[3] In this role, she managed global events for theatrical and home video releases, including the world premieres of Pocahontas in Central Park and Hercules in Times Square, as well as the global tour for Fantasia 2000.

Breier’s responsibilities expanded to include synergy programs and corporate promotions. She organized large-scale events such as the 2011 world premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides at Disneyland, which drew over 25,000 guests.[4] In 2015, she was named Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Partnerships, Promotions, Synergy and Special Events. She led campaigns blending entertainment and social causes, including STEM contests and youth initiatives for Thor: The Dark World and Guardians of the Galaxy.[5]

She produced immersive red carpet experiences such as the snow-covered premiere of Frozen and “Cinderella’s Ball” for Cinderella.[5] Breier also directed Disney’s presence at major fan events including San Diego Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration, and the biennial D23 Expo.[1]

In October 2023, Breier was promoted to Executive Vice President, Marketing Partnerships and Special Events.[1][2] She now leads marketing partnerships for all theatrical and streaming content across Disney’s studios, including Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Studios, while continuing to manage global special events and synergy efforts.[6]

Awards and Affiliations

In 2015, *BizBash* named Breier one of its “Most Innovative” event professionals for her large-scale marketing campaigns.[5] She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Television Academy, BAFTA, and Women in Film.[1] Breier also serves on the board of directors of My Friend’s Place, a nonprofit shelter for homeless youth in Los Angeles.[7]
