From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Lynn Cartwright is an American Artist and Designer who is known for her directional designs in fashion, contemporary jewelry, and lifelike artist dolls.

Lynn Cartwright was born in northern Minnesota on August 16, 1943. She is the daughter of Myron R. Cartwright and Winona M. Cartwright. She is the eldest of three sisters, Karen C. Cartwright and Tracy A. Cartwright.

After attending Hamline University and the University of Minnesota, Lynn moved to California and started her fashion career which spanned over four decades. Her most prestigious effort was designing the 1984 and 1988 official Olympic uniforms for the USGF (United States Gymnastics Federation). Mary Lou Retton's leotard design was revolutionary at the time, and has been reinterpreted in subsequent Olympics. Lynn received accolades in the 1990s for transforming the nurses uniform industry with her California Collection of conversational textile print motifs.

Doll making happened by accident in the late 1990s. Her one-of-a-kind museum-quality artist dolls not only delight celebrity clientele, but they have won numerous industry awards and have appeared in major doll magazines, and noteworthy books.
