Lynne Avril was born on March 6, 1951, in Miles City, Montana. Avril grew up in Billings, Montana, with a country lifestyle of riding horses, skiing in the mountains, and exploring her interest in art. She later graduated from the University of Montana with a BA degree in art.[1][2]
Career
Lynne Avril's main area of focus is illustration, specifically the Amelia Bedelia series of children's books. Avril began doing illustrations in the 1980s after freelancing as a graphic artist and has accumulated over 100 books that contain her work.[1] She also enjoys other areas such as painting, playing bass, and traveling to Paris.[1]

The majority of Avril's work is children’s book illustrations, therefore they have to be interesting to young ages.
