Máire Ní Ciaragain
Máire Ní Ciaragain (anglicised Maria Kerrigan was an Irish lady in Fermanagh.[1]
Ní Ciaragain is supposed to have led some Irish against the Earldom of Leinster and the Earldom of Ulster in the 15th century, perhaps with support of the Earl of Desmond. She was probably a daughter of the lord of Clan Kerrigan.[citation needed] She earned respect from the English by her reputation of never taking English prisoners.[1]
