MARI Group (stylized as MARI) is an American holding company focused on global live events, sports, arts, and cultural experiences, founded in 2025 by Ari Emanuel.

The company was launched with $2 billion in funding. Emanuel, who serves as executive chairman of WME Group and CEO of TKO Group Holdings founded MARI as a separate company to consolidate premium live experience assets, distinct from his roles at WME and TKO. Its founding portfolio included the Miami Open and Mutua Madrid Open tennis tournaments acquired from IMG, contemporary art organization Frieze, and a majority stake in collector car auction brand Barrett-Jackson.[1]

History

MARI's origins trace to the go-private transaction of WME (then known as Endeavor) by existing investor Silver Lake, completed in 2024. As part of the restructuring, WME's portfolio of event and media assets was separated, with certain properties earmarked for a new vehicle to be led by Emanuel. Emanuel received approximately $176 million from the go-private deal. MARI was launched with $2 billion in initial funding. Ari Emanuel serves as founder and principal investor. Mark Shapiro, president and managing partner of WME and president and COO of TKO Group, is a principal investor and board member. The executive team includes Matt Cohn as managing partner and Ben Enowitz as chief financial officer.[1][2]

In the spring of 2025, WME announced the sale of Frieze to Emanuel.

On October 8, 2025, MARI was formally launched, coinciding with the closing of its founding acquisitions: IMG's international tennis event portfolio (including the Miami Open and Madrid Open), Frieze, and a majority interest in Barrett-Jackson.[3]

In late October 2025, MARI expanded into live ticketing by acquiring TodayTix from private equity firm Great Hill Partners. TodayTix operates an online platform with more than 20 million members across the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia, selling tickets to Broadway shows and other live events.[4]

In November 2025, MARI acquired additional IMG assets from WME, including IMG's Arts & Entertainment and Action Sports events portfolios. Notable properties added included Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, the global Taste Festivals culinary series (including Taste of London), the US Open of Surfing in Southern California, and the Nike Melbourne Marathon.[5]

In April 30, 2026, MAR acquired Collect-A-Con, a trading card, anime, and Pop Culture event In the United States.[6]

Portfolio

As of 2026, MARI's portfolio spans tennis, arts and culture, automotive lifestyle, live ticketing, and action sports.[7][8]
