MID House of Diamonds is a multinational diamond manufacturer founded in 1970 by brothers Benjamin and Joseph Meirov in Israel. The company offers worldwide manufacturing and distribution of diamonds in a full range of standard colours and sizes.
MID is family-run, employing 70 workers worldwide, with representation in Tel Aviv, New York City, Los Angeles, London, Antwerp, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo.
MID House of Diamonds is one of the biggest diamond exporters in the world. According to the Israeli Diamonds, Gemstones and Jewelry Administration in 2018 MID registered raise in exports to $196 million, compared to $175 million in 2017.[1].
From 2017 MID is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, committing to sourcing all their diamonds from conflict-free areas and legitimate sources[2][3].
The Responsible Jewellery Council was established in 2005 with the express purpose of advancing responsible business practices throughout the diamond, gold and platinum group metals jewellery supply chain, committing all their members to source all their materials from confirmed suppliers and supporting the elimination of diamond mining in war zones and diamond dealing financing violence[4]
To further guarantee responsible sourcing of product, all MID produced and sold diamonds have the KP Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, preventing sales of conflict diamonds.
