Denis Alekseevich Mikhailov (Russian: Денис Алексеевич Михайлов, born November 5, 1990, Norilsk, Russia), better known by his stage name MITCHEL is a Russian singer, musician, music producer.[1][2][3]
Biography[edit]
Early years[edit]
Denis was born on November 5, 1990 in Norilsk, where he began his career. Since 2006, he has been actively participating in online hip-hop battles, winning most of them. In 2009, he created the group "Mon a more" and after having recorded his debut album "On Vinyl",[4] he received the response from various producers in Moscow.[5][6]
Until 2014, he recorded tracks unofficially releasing on the VKontakte social network.[7] In 2015 he decided to move to Saint Petersburg, where he lives and creates songs to this day in his recording studio.[8][9][10]

In 2017 he created the "Mitchel" project, releasing about 30 tracks that did not gain mass popularity. In 2018 he wrote the song "Айкос", which instantly went viral on Tiktok and brought attention to all labels in Russia and CIS countries.[11][12]
The track and remix entered the VK top chart, rising to line 23. Then, half a year later, the song "Во дворе ходит сLUх" was released, which also instantly rose to the top, reaching the second line.
And half a year later, the artist's biggest hit “А уже фсё”[13] came out, which also took the 2nd line of all Russian tops in the charts and by 2022 already has 12 platinum status. The artist continues to release tracks that have multi-million streams and many of them have also achieved platinum status.[14][15]
He often experiments with sound and genres. And he skated more than 300 cities of Russia with concerts.[13][16][17][18]
Duet[edit]
Until 2021-2022, the project was a joint duet with another musical artist. Together they wrote several compositions, receiving several awards. But in 2022, the duet broke up, and the project completely switched to Denis, becoming his solo project.
