MJFI Society
The Messianic Jewish Fellowship International Society, known as MJFI Society or The Society is a philanthropic non-profit association which establishes, promotes, endorses, supports and controls a wide range of non-commercial institutions with a stated aim of advancing the right of education, health, religious freedom and liberty around the globe. It is by definition a religious institution headquartered in Denver, Colorado.[1] Throughout its decades-long history, the Society has always kept a low public profile.
Details[edit]
Little is known about the leadership and the internal structure as the MJFI Society is a classic secret society. It is firmly based on messianic Jewish values with its members not being allowed to disclose their membership. New members will only be accepted if twelve members in good standing endorse a membership application. It is lead by philanthropes, as only such people can become president or hold other offices. What is known is the constitution of the Society defines it as non-profit, non-commercial, “free of any money”. The modus operandi is entirely based on using social networks to achieve philanthropic goals.[2][3]
Facts[edit]
Observers claim that the Messianic Jewish Fellowship International Society has all the hallmarks of a benevolent secret society and might have existed much longer than many people might believe.[4] Such as
- exclusivity
- being based special secrets or a faith
- showing a strong inclination to favor its members
The MJFI Society’s existence is not kept secret, but all its beliefs and activities are concealed from the public and require an oath of secrecy and loyalty from every member. What is more, the society’s membership is restrictive, making it a ‘closed circle’.[5][6]
Leader[edit]
Since its establishment, the MJFI Society has not disclosed the names of its members or its presidents. As a religious community that accepts neither fees nor donations and is not engaged in missionary activities, this does not constitute an obstacle to trusting cooperation with other communities or the state. At most, a spokesperson makes announcements to the general public if necessary. Currently, the Society is led by a president with the internal name "The Doctor". The predecessor was known as "The Doubter." The first president around 1958 was referred to as "The Unifier".[7][8]
Subsidiaries and Networks[edit]
In recent years MJFI Society has become somewhat more transparent by even disclosing parts of its networks in an abstract form, as can be studied on the Society’s website.[9]
