The MLB Puerto Rico Series was a series of three regular season games planned to be played at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 2020.
The games were scheduled to be played on April 28–30, 2020, with the Miami Marlins hosting the New York Mets.[1]
Major League Baseball canceled this series on March 19 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.[2]
Background[edit]
The Mets and Marlins played a three game series in 2010 at Hiram Bithorn Stadium, with the Florida Marlins winning game 1 (10–3), and game 2 (7–6), and the New York Mets winning game 3 (6–5).
Venue[edit]
Hiram Bithorn Stadium has hosted 49 Major League Baseball Games since 2001, including 43 Montreal Expos "home" games.
