MREC Entertainment[edit]
MREC Entertainment is a digital music distribution company and a record label started in late 2020 by Mahiru Senarathne[1] and Dhyan Hewage in Colombo, Sri Lanka. MREC Entertainment delivers music from independent record labels and musicians to online retailers such as iTunes/Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, iHeartRadio and others.[2]
MREC Entertainment's main service is digital music distribution, but it also includes marketing, physical distribution, data analytics. MREC Entertainment also provides label services for independent labels with legal authorization and review. Labels will get a portal with unlimited artists, sublabels, and a dedicated account manager.[3][4]

MREC Entertainment is a digital music distribution company and a record label started in late 2020 by Mahiru Senarathne in Colombo, Sri Lanka. MREC Entertainment is currently distributing more than 200 in-house artists.[5]
In 2022, MREC Entertainment announced an expansion into open to all to all digital music distribution with the intention of establishing new relationships with its distributed labels, artists, and independent brands. MREC Entertainment expanded its business model as a music distributor while continuing to provide services for its signed artists.[6]
In late 2022, MREC Entertainment partnered with Sonosuite to build its distribution platform by taking Sonosuite's Saas technology and Freshdesk's platform to manage tickets for its clients.[7][8]
Digital Music Distribution[edit]
In July 2021, MREC Entertainment launched its music distribution services. In 2022, MREC Entertainment partnered with Sonosuite, allowing artists to create and upload music on the platform. SonoSuite is listed as a preferred and recommended Spotify provider.[9][10] MREC Entertainment is verified on trustpilot as well. [11]
Publishing Administration[edit]
In March 2022, MREC Entertainment partnered with Sentric Music Publishing for Music Publishing Administration Service. Sentric Music Group is an independent music publisher and publishing administration company that represents over 1.5 million works.[12]
