The MRPL City Festival (MRPL City), big Ukrainian annual music festival in Ukraine. It is held every August in Mariupol, Ukraine, on Pishchanka beach.[2] [3] The festival is organized by the news site mrpl.city, owned by Metinvest Holding.[4]

History[edit]

The festival began in 2017 as "the biggest event on the East Coast." The festival is multi-genre: each scene has its own style.[5]

Volodymyr Bryginets is one of the festival organizers. He noted that the line-up on MRPL City-2019 was made taking into account the tastes and wishes of Mariupol people as a result of monitoring social networks. The performers were chosen in such a way as to attract the widest possible audience to the festival - from very young party-goers to mature music fans. However, according to the organizer, the main thing at the festival is not only music but the spirit of freedom and unity.[6]

2017[edit]

July 7-9, "Pishchanka" beach of Mariupol. The festival was attended by over 10,000 people.[7]

The genres between the scenes were divided as follows: Omega Stage - Rock Music, Delta Stage - Pop Music, Sigma Stage - Electronic Music.

In addition to music, the festival offers a plethora of other activities including cinema, basketball, volleyball,bungee jumping and a rides.

Awards[edit]

The portal tokar.ua ranked MRPL City among the top 10 best music festivals in Ukraine.[8]
