MSGM
MSGM is a fashion brand founded in 2009 by Massimo Giorgetti in partnership with the Paoloni Group.[1]
Visually bold, contemporary label MSGM finds immediate success in Milan, best known for its high fashion houses and denim brands, and critiqued for its lack of innovation, bringing a fresh new formula, serving prints, color and patterns at a contemporary pricing.[2] By 2014, MSGM earns about 500 stockists worldwide [3]
In 2010, the brand is selected by Vogue Italia as one of the best emerging names in the 'Vogue Talents' edit and shortlisted for Vogue's 'Who's On Next' competition.[4]
In 2013, MSGM starts showing at Milan Fashion Week with the Spring/Summer 2014 collection and opens its first flagship store in Milan, in the Brera District. [5] An international retail expansion follows with openings in Dubai [6], Singapore [7],Tokyo [8] and Beijing [9] among the others.
In 2018, a minority stake of 32% is acquired by private equity fund Style Capital.[10]
Known for its unconventional attitude combining urban influences, streetwear and sportswear with the Italian tradition[11], over the years MSGM has also collaborated with several artists, such as Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari of Toiletpaper [12] Nico Vascellari [13] and Henry Hussey [14] and brands such as Eastpak [15], Diadora [16] and Moon Boot [17]
