MVR Cancer Hospital and Research Institute
The MVR Cancer Centre is a cancer hospital in Kozhikode, set up under the aegis of Care Foundation, a sister concern of Calicut City Service Cooperative Bank[1]. The 175-bed, 7.5 lakh sq ft hospital [2] was built in memory of Indian politician and former minister of Kerala, Shri. M. V. Raghavan. The foundation stone was laid in November 2015 by the then Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and inaugurated in 2018 by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. It is the state’s first co-operative cancer hospital[3]
The hospital has international centres, one in Dubai[4] and another slated in Angola[5]
