Macarthur District Soccer Football Association
Macarthur District Soccer Football Association is a governing body and football (soccer) competition located in the Macarthur suburbs of Sydney. Its located Lynwood Park, St Helens Park at New South Wales. All competitions and football activity is under control of Football New South Wales. The District Association consists of 10 all age competitions and 3 Premier Competitions (M-League) which corresponds to tiers six to fifteen on the Australian soccer pyramid. Clubs are located in:
Appin, Bradbury, Burragorang, Camden, Campbelltown, Douglas Park, Eaglevale, Eschol Park, Harrington Park, Ingleburn, Macquarie Fields, Minto, Mount Annan, Narellan, Oran Park, Picton, Ruse and Tahmoor
History[edit]
The idea of forming a soccer Association south of the crossroads at Liverpool was first discussed in 1979. By 1983 the MDSFA was to become a reality and in 1984 the MDSFA became an incorporated body with charter of fostering, developing and promoting junior soccer in the Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly municipalities.
