International Terminal 2 is the newest and largest terminal of Mactan-Cebu International Airport. It currently handles all international flights to/from Cebu City. Its construction started in 2016 and opened in 2018. After the opening, the airport houses both domestic and international flights. Domestic flights are now served by Domestic Terminal 1, which is now renovated to be tropical similar to Terminal 2. Terminal 2 is the 3-story terminal that has wavy timber arch roofs that represents the sea surrounding Cebu. In 2009, there are plans for the second new generation terminal to serve only international flights and it is going to be this terminal. It serves million passengers a year.[1]
