History
Founded in 2008 by chief executive Rory MacDonald, the primary clients of the group are the departments, agencies and arm's length bodies of the UK government.[3]
Projects and frameworks
In May 2020, Made Tech delivered the alpha of the NHS app, NHS Book a virtual visit.[4]
In February 2021, Made Tech was one of twelve suppliers to have been appointed by Crown Commercial Service and NHS Digital to the digital capability for health framework.[5]
In June 2021, Made Tech was awarded a place on the Crown Commercial Service’s Technology Services 3 (TS3) framework.[6]
In September 2021, Made Tech, along with nine other suppliers, was awarded a place on Lot 2 of The Met Office Delivery Partnership Framework.[7]
In September 2021, Made Tech launched a healthcare collective called “Made Well”, which brings together health and social care organisations through a free to use, open source platform that can be accessed by all NHS organisations, for co-funding, co-delivery and reuse of digital solutions by default.[8]
Appointments and offices
In July 2020, Made Tech opened a new office in Swansea.[9]
In January 2021, Made Tech appointed former NHS Digital Director of Apps, Hazel Jones, to deliver digital services and transformation for the NHS.[10]
In July 2021, Robin Wyles was appointed Made Tech’s South West and Wales Market Principal.[11]
In October 2021, Deborah Lovegrove was appointed Made Tech’s CFO.[12]
IPO
On September 30th, 2021, Made Tech IPO’d on London's AIM market and is listed as MTEC.[13]
Awards and recognition
In November 2020, the NHS Book a virtual visit app service won ‘Healthcare Project of the Year’ at the annual UK IT Industry Awards.[14]
In March 2021, Made Tech was shortlisted as joint finalists for the Health Service Journal Awards’ Acute Sector Innovation of the Year alongside London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and St Mark's Hospital for the NHS Book a virtual visit service.[15]
In May 2021 Made Tech received the Outstanding to Work For Accreditation and was listed in Technology’s 50 Best Companies 2021 to Work For in London and the South West from Best Companies.[16]
