Madness is a crime fiction novel by American author Juan L. Torres. "The story follows the life of a child as he begins his journey into adolescence. Along his journey he quickly learns that he must overcome a series of hurdles; neglect, abuse, and a High density alcohol environment. Seeing his hardworking parents arrive home tired from work only makes matters worse as it leads to an emotional catharsis".[1]

Prologue[edit]

The novel begins with Dominic the main character, reflecting as he is running at full speed. "Adrenaline is pumping through my body; I can feel my heart beating through my chest, and the blood flowing through my veins. That must be what's keeping me going at the moment. I live for these moments. I love them! I enjoy the excitement and the rush".[2]

Publication process[edit]

The Kindle Edition was successfully released through Kindle Direct Publishing on Feb. 10th. Three days later the paperback edition was released.[3] On April 30th the novel also became available on Smashwords.
