Magic Break Festival is an electronic music festival held annually in the city of Antalya, Turkey, and has been organized every spring since 2005. It is Turkey's leading electronic music festival and brings a wide variety of acts from around the world and across the spectrum of electronic music's various sub-genres[1]. Parties are hosted both day and night at multiple venues and every year the festival has a different theme, which reflects mainly in the visual side of the festival [2]. Guests come from a vast range of European countries, as well as Asia and North America.

History[edit]

The first Magic Break Festival was held on 19-23 April 2005[3] in Antalya, situated between the Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, one of the world's best tourist destinations. Taking tried and tested ideas and combining them with new and exciting concepts every year, the festival grew into an intimate boutique festival over the years, celebrating the magic of good music, local food, and good vibes[4]. The 2011 edition saw an increase of performances, workshops, and exhibitions, all designed to push the boundaries of experimental electronic music. As of 2015, the festival included a variety of styles which fall under the genre of electronic music, such as EDM, house, techno, electro, minimal, drum 'n' bass [5]. Since 2021, Magic Break also hosts boat parties which feature artists from the festival and sail around the Mediterranean coastline.
