Magnificent Seven (business schools)
The Magnificent Seven (M7) are a group of super-elite private business schools in the United States which recognize each other as peers and are generally considered to have the world's best MBA programs.[1][2][3][4][5] The M7 was originally formed as an informal gathering of the deans of the top business schools. Although its historical date of formation is unclear, the group is believed to have been formed many years ago.[6] Its founding purpose was to form an exclusive network of top-tier business schools whereby member institutions could exchange information and best practices twice a year. Over the years, these sessions have evolved to include private meetings between these institutions.[7] Today, the M7 continues to have a profound influence in the global business world. Of the CEOs leading the Fortune 500 companies, 82 CEOs are alumni of an M7 business school.[8]
