Mahant Kirpal Das

Mahant Kirpal Das was a prominent member of the Udasi sect of Sikhism who fought with Guru Gobind Singh at the Battle of Bhangani on 18 September 1688. In Bichitra Natak, Guru Gobind Singh says that Kirpal fought like a true Kshatriya in the battle, and killed Hayat Khan (the leader of the defected Pathans) with his Kutka (mace).[1] The Guru killed Bhikan Khan's horse with his arrow, and Khan fled from the battlefield.
