Mahendra Patidar (born 12 April 1965) is an Indian politician, State Chief of Kisan Kranti Sena (Madhya Pradesh), Madhya Pradesh Patidar Samaj President and State President of Patidar Community since 2012.
Childhood and education
Early life
He was born in the small village "Sirsi" of district Dhar into a family of farm labourers. His schooling was done in Government Boys Higher Secondary School Number 2, Barwani. He completed his B.Com from Government College Barwani, later he went to Bhopal in search of a job. He started working in a TV repairing shop. Then later he left his job as a System Analyzer in Polipoplin United Bhopal.
Marriage and children
He married Kusum Patidar of village Nagur of Dhar district and they have two children, Khyati Patidar and Satyam Patidar. Khyati Patidar is an IT employee whereas Satyam Patidar is also a TEDx Speaker.

Activities
Kisan Kranti Sena
Gujarat's firebrand leader Hardik Patel remained on a Madhya Pradesh tour from 6-12 June. Hardik reached Jabalpur on June 6 where he visited several districts to inaugurate offices of Kisan Kranti Sena including Satna, Maihar, Indore, and Ujjain. Sena's head office was inaugurated in Mandsaur on 11 June[2][3].
Demand of Election Tickets
“The Patidar community is upset with the BJP government after the 2017 police firing in which six innocent farmers were killed[4]. Four of the farmers were Patidars. The state government even lodged several cases against people of our community after the incident[5]. We believe that the Congress can draw long-term welfare measures for us in the upcoming elections,” said Mahendra Patidar, president of the Madhya Pradesh Patidar Samaj Sangathan.[6][7][8]
Controversies
Sale of Poppy Husk and Opium in Mandsaur
[9] Sale of poppy husk has been declared illegal by the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN). Opium is legally cultivated only in Mandsaur, Neemuch and Ratlam. These districts have over 28,400 licensed opium poppy cultivators. He fought against the Government for purchasing Poppy Husk and Opium from farmers, later they agreed to purchase and Madhya Pradesh Patidar Samaj Mahendra Patidar president appropriated credit for the government's move. And said “Our pressure has forced the government to bend,” claimed referring to his last June unrest.
Kisan Andolan 2017
He said that the "cremation of five killed at Pipalia Mandi will not happen unless the Chief Minister arrives at the spot. He identified the deceased as Kanhaiyalal Patidar, Babloo Patidar, Chainram Patidar, Abhishek Patidar and Nathulal Patidar and will compensate Rs 1 Crore. Later a compensation of Rs 1 crore was announced by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to families of the deceased, a job to their kin and Rs five lakh in addition to free treatment to the injured.[10]
