Maite Richert is an European WBFF Pro fitness competitor (bikini division), fitness model and online coach. She is the winner of the 2018 WBFF International Bikini contest and Italian Championship for the same event, which granted her a pro athlete status..[1]

Athlete Career[edit]

Maite started her fitness journey in 2014, after her husband introduced her to the sport and offered her the services of a personal trainer as a birthday gift. She participated in the 2014 WPF & IBFF Natural Amateur Bodybuilding Championships in Brussels (Belgium) in the Bikini category and claimed the first place [2]. After this, she understood that if she wanted to become a Pro-Athlete, she'd need to work on her body composition, her posing and on acquiring more muscle mass. It took her 4 more years to feel ready for the stage again, and she participated in a show hosted by Paul Dillett's WBFF in Miami (USA) in November 2018, where she reached the 4th place in the bikini category [3] amongst a tough competition. Motivated by this great placing and confident in her own skills, physical condition and stage presence, she decided to take part in her second WBFF show one month later, hosted in Verona (Italy) in December 2018 where she won the 1st place in her category and the national champion title in addition [4]. At the time, she was coached by Marie Steffen [5] (Germany) for conditioning and nutrition, and Elaine Babo [6] (Switzerland) for posing [7]. Her first professional event was set to take place in the 2020 London Pro [8] but a series of sporting events were cancelled due to the recent pandemic. She is now representing the world's second largest fitness federation as a Pro-Athlete, walking amongst Top Bikini Divas like WBFF Pro Caroline de Campos [9], WBFF Pro Lauren Simpson [10] and WBFF Pro Micky Parker [11]

Professional Career[edit]

She created her company "MRF" [12] (for Maite Richert Fitness) in 2019 and is currently an online fitness coach. She has two fitness Apps [13]: Maite Richert Fitness, released in 2019 and "Grow n' Glow", released in 2021. She's also a fitness model, either freelance or for the fitness model agency mcfitmodels (Germany)[14]. She is currently being officialy endorsed by some of the top leading sponsors in the fitness industry such as supplement company Women's Best [15], sportswear company Ryderwear [16] and gym equipment manufacturer Kings Box [17], among others.
