Make A Wish, directed by Meta Akkus,[3][4][5][6] is a 2019 Turkish children's and family movie. A movie was made in Mardin, a beautiful Turkish and ancient Roman city close to the Syrian border, for Make A Wish (Bir Dilek Tut)[7][8][9], a family and children's movie that started production in Istanbul.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16] [17][18]
Plot
Make A Wish is a coming-of-age story that follows 11 year old Berke, who believes that his turtle grants him magic powers that can make anything happen. When he loses his turtle, he believes he has lost his superpowers. With the guidance of his grandfather, he learns the true power of making wishes come true with the power of his heart.[19][20][21][22]

Production
Meta Akkus founded production company THE BEST FILM PRODUCTIONS in 2018 in Istanbul for the purpose of shooting films in English in Turkey. In only one year since its establishment, the company developed five film projects for its slate, mostly with an international angle. The company also does commercials for companies within Turkey and Europe such as 'Seba Insaat' and 'Pasabahce Omnia.' The company is now working towards the goal of producing high quality stories for worldwide distribution.
Make A Wish is the first film produced by Meta Akkus under The Best Films Productions roof.
Filming
In February 2018, Avni Tuna Dilligil joined Meta Akkus to script her original short story she wrote in Paris 2009
Principal photography began in June 2018 at scenic locales of an ancient historical town Mardin and lasted for 3 weeks.
Meta Akkus spent a considerable amount of time location scouting and observing before deciding to film in this beautiful Artuklu town.
