Malabar Cancer Centre
Malabar Cancer Center is an autonomous institution under the Government of Kerala located in Thalassery established with the aim of creating a modern Cancer Hospital and centre for Research and Training for treatment and prevention of cancer[1]. The institution has a fully equipped 200 bed hospital offering cancer care in the northern region of the state.
An expansion for the hospital and institution has been recently planned by the Government of Kerala[2] which will also host facilities for stem cell therapeutics, virology apart from an expanded infrastructure of blood banking.
Education[edit]
The institution offers a number of programmes at the Bachelors and Masters level affiliated to the Kannur University and Institute of Palliative Medicine (Kozhikode). Additional Fellowship programmes for clinicians are also offered
