Malabar Cancer Centre
Malabar Cancer Center is an autonomous institution under the Government of Kerala located in Thalassery, established with the aim of creating a modern Cancer Hospital and centre for Research and Training for treatment and prevention of cancer[1]. The institution has a fully equipped 200-bed hospital offering cancer care in the northern region of the state.
An expansion for the hospital and institution has been recently planned by the Government of Kerala[2], which will also host facilities for stem cell therapeutics, virology, apart from an expanded infrastructure of blood banking.
Education
The institution offers a number of programmes at the Bachelors and Masters level affiliated to the Kannur University and Institute of Palliative Medicine (Kozhikode). Additional Fellowship programmes for clinicians are also offered.
