MaleReader-Inserts (Hereby will be referred to as MR-I) is a group on DeviantArt dedicated to collecting MaleReader-insert stories. Anyone is welcome to join or add their male/gender-neutral reader fanfictions to the group. The group has, as of this time (7/31/2018), 1,991 members, 4,204 watchers and 13,349,383 page views. The current founder of the group is TheLoneRedWolf [1] and below her are her loyal administrators, which consist of five people: TheNessY21 [2], TaranThyGod [3], PoetOfInsanity [4], CaliTheAnimeLover [5] and That-irish-guy [6]. Below the administrators are the moderators: AirborneSovietWomble [7], RevDavid [8] and Awesomeness5000 [9].
MR-I was created on July 9th, 2015. The original creator of the group was CaliTheAnimeLover, who on May 15th, 2017 passed down ownership of the group to Spade-Of-Waffles [10]. Spade-Of-Waffles then handed the founder position to the current founder, TheLoneRedWolf, on December 20th, 2017. Spade-Of-Waffles then left the group not long after the transition of power. Shifting focus onto yearly events of MR-I, since January 27, 2016, MR-I has asked its members to vote for a 'Waifu of the year'. MR-I also directs contests from time to time during holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, of recent note. The start date to end date of the upcoming event usually gives a writer 2–3 weeks to create content that will wow the judges selected to judge the contest. This allows the writers to dwell on a story plot and create a decently sized story with good content. Most often, writers will pick the most popular fandom to write about for these contests.
In the group's gallery there are 150 folders, but the most popular of these folders to date are the RWBY (pronounced as "ruby") with 2,000+ stories and Hetalia: Axis Powers, which has 2,340+ stories. The other 148 folders are mostly centered on anime-related topics; however, there is also a wide assortment of book-related and television-related folders. Not to mention, if you wish for a new folder to be created, then you may ask one of the administrators for it to be created (Note: there must be a minimum of 10 stories for the folder to be created). Included in the massive amount of folders there are designated "other" folders where you are able to put your stories which don't fall into any of the fandom folders and for when there aren't more than 10 stories of the same fandom. For example, if you have a story that takes place in the universe of Yuri on Ice Yuri on Ice then you will have to put it into the "More anime" folder, unless, of course, there happens to be 10 or more stories in the universe of Yuri on Ice.
