Text and translation

Original text

English translation

Joy is the moment we sit on the patio, me and you

in two roles and two faces, but one soul, me and you

the garden's color and the birds' breath give water to life

that time, when we come out of the flower garden, me and you

the stars in the firmament are looking at us

we show ourselves to the moon, me and you

me and you without me and you will be together in imagination

joy and leisure of dispersed superstition, me and you

heavenly parrots cracking sugar cane

at the same time that we are laughing, me and you

this wonder, that me and you are in one place right here

in this very moment we are in a good place, and in love, me and you

Intonation

The Berlin-based musician NU intonated the roughly 800-year old poem in a House/Deep house song published in 2017.[2]
