Manasquan Bank
Manasquan Bank is a mutual savings bank founded on March 21, 1874, headquartered in Wall, NJ. Since 1874, Manasquan Bank has supported the communities it serves, helping families and businesses thrive across New Jersey.
History of Manasquan Bank [1][edit]
In 1874, The Squan Village Building & Loan Association, located in Manasquan’s Borden Building was incorporated and charted by the State of New Jersey.
In 1910, the Squan Village Building & Loan Association changed its name to Manasquan Building & Loan Association.
In 1936, the Association built its first permanent headquarters at 185 Main Street in Manasquan.
In 1950, the Association changed its name to Manasquan Savings & Loan Association and received its Certificate of Insurance from the Federal Savings & Loan Insurance Corporation.
In 1979, the bank acquired Bay Head Savings & Loan Association.
In 1992, the Association changed its name to Manasquan Savings Bank.
In 2015, the bank drop “Savings” from its name becoming Manasquan Bank.
In 2019, Manasquan Bank completes the merger with Metuchen Savings Bank.
Manasquan Bank Charitable Foundation[2][edit]
On July 29, 2014, the Manasquan Bank Charitable Foundation was formed. The foundation is a private foundation providing direct support to organizations that share our passion for making a positive community impact. Our mission is to enhance the efforts of location not for profit groups, institutions, schools and other organizations that are serving unmet needs through innovative, forward thinking programs.
