Mandy September is a visual artist, singer and songwriter who specialises in female and feminine digital art. She is also one half of the alternative duo Kinndom.[1]
Biography
Mandy was born in Cape Town, South Africa and moved to Pretoria with her family at the age of 13. She now lives between South Africa and Europe, with both Serbia and Johannesburg having become her home.
Career
After studying at Design School Southern Africa, Mandy worked as a stylist for multiple bands in the alternative South African music scene, most notably, Isochronous (band), Bittereinder (band) and Louis Minnaar. In 2015 she moved with her husband and son to Belgrade, Serbia, where her journey as a visual artist and singer truly began. In a few short years she showcased her works in galleries and had written and released music with Kinndom. She also revived Sofar Sounds in Belgrade and was the city leader and main organiser from 2017–2018.[2]
