Mangesh Amale is an Indian entrepreneur and cyber security executive. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Velox Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a Navi Mumbai-based information security company.[1] He is a member of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) and contested the 2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election from the Belapur constituency as an independent candidate.[2]
Early life and education
Amale was born in Dingore village, Junnar Taluka, Pune district, Maharashtra.[3] He holds an honorary doctorate in Information System Management from European International University, Paris, as declared in his Election Commission affidavit.[3] He also holds an MBA from IIT Bombay, an Executive MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Diploma in Cyber Law from Government Law College, Mumbai.[1]
Career
Banking and information technology
Before founding Velox Solutions, Amale held roles in information technology and banking, including positions at Zenith Computers and HDFC Bank.[1]
Velox Solutions (2010–present)
In 2010, Amale founded Velox Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Navi Mumbai.[1] The company develops cyber security software for endpoints, ATM terminals, networks, and data centres, serving clients in the banking, government, and corporate sectors.[4]
Velox Solutions won the 15th Aegis Graham Bell Award for Innovation in Cybersecurity, a programme supported by India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).[5] In 2026, Amale was appointed Chairman of the Western Region Committee on IT, Cyber Security and Digital Infrastructure at the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI).[6]
Political career
Amale is affiliated with the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction). In October 2024, he announced he would contest the Belapur Assembly seat as an independent candidate. He received 2,333 votes (0.99% vote share) in the November 2024 Maharashtra Assembly election.[2][3]
Philanthropy
Amale founded the Velox Foundation, which supports cancer patients, and The Mangesh Amale Initiative, an NGO focused on education, healthcare, and social welfare in Maharashtra.[1]
