Manhole Toilet
A manhole toilet is a simple toilet setup on a sewer manhole used during disasters.
Bathroom facilities are one of the biggest issues at evacuation facilities after disasters like large earthquakes. Water supply is usually restored relatively quickly, but bathroom facilities are not handled as well. Many municipal governments encourage the use of Twin Bucket Toilets for residential houses and evacuation sites. Larger facilities are needed for long-term evacuations.
