Manipur Rural Bank (MRB) is a Regional rural bank (RRB) serving the Indian state of Manipur.[1] It was established on 28 May 1981 to expand banking access across rural and semi-urban regions of Manipur.[2] The bank is sponsored by Punjab National Bank and jointly owned by the Government of India, Government of Manipur and PNB.[3]

Manipur Rural Bank was established on 28 May 1981 under a Government of India notification with the objective of providing financial services to underserved and rural regions of Manipur.[2]
