Mann VannDa (ម៉ាន់ វណ្ណដា) is a Khmer rapper and getting popular for Khmer young people nowadays.
A rising Cambodian rap artist who has written several of his own song to inspire young people. Breaking through a classic Cambodian all-time favorite genre, VannDa brings a new taste of music for Cambodian new generation in the hope of connecting them to the world through universal melody of rapping. From SihanoukVille, where he was born to start his career and living in Phnom Penh and interested in Rap Music . Starting his career from 2014, with his first song that impressed fans which is called "Cheu Teh" pronounce in Khmer, means "Is It Hurt" in English. After that, he released some new songs, but most popular among them is J+O. Never disappionted fans, the other song called Hot Boy was released in early 2020 and the other one is Born this way, both of these two were most popular too.
In 2021 his release Time to Rise and get viral hit with ancient-modern mix. Time to rise is a lyrical celebration of Khmer heritage – including ancient temples but also venerating the knowledge and wisdom of the elders like Master Kong Nay.
The official video was streamed over one million times on YouTube in the first 24 hours after it was posted on March 28, and one week later it is now approaching six million views. That’s quite a lot for a song rapped in a language that only has about 16 million native speakers total in the entire world.
