Manon is a Tamil Bangalorean. He acted and directed many stage skits, dramas, and short films in his school and college days. He completed his higher studies in Electronics in 1995 and worked in many MNC companies like VXL Instruments and GE Healthcare, but his dream towards cinema never let him sleep. He was attending auditions and trying for an assistant director opening. Finally, he got an opportunity to translate a script from Kannada to Tamil for a film, By2. The film features only two characters and he also worked as an assistant director, which was then renamed as Iruvar Mattum. The film was critically acclaimed by Tamil veteran writers/directors like K. Balachander, K. Bhagyaraj, Visu, Ramanarayan, Parthiban, and T. R. Rajender.
Career
Manon started his film career as an assistant director in *Iruvar Mattum*. He then worked as a co-director for *Matthe Mungaru*, a Kannada film, and again joined Director Vetrimaaran’s production house, Grassroot, for the film *Udhayam NH4*. He then worked as a Co-director for the Kannada film *Shivalinga* starring Shivarajkumar and Vedhika, directed by P. Vasu. The same film was remade in Tamil with Raghava Lawrence, Rithika Singh, Vadivelu, and Urvashi; he also associated with the project as Co-director. He also worked with the bilingual film *Oru Thee* (Tamil) and *Idhi Cinema Kaadhu* (Telugu) starring Shakkthi, Poorna, Haripriya, Raja, Vivek, Aali, and Brahmanandam. Finally, after four years of experience, he decided to make his independent film, a bilingual film (Tamil & Telugu) titled *Kakaka Aabhathin Ariguri* (Tamil) and *Kaaki – Sound of Warning* (Telugu) starring Ashok, Meghashree, Sangeetha Bhat, Yogi Babu, Naasar, and Jayasudha. It received appreciation from his mentor Vetrimaaran, P. Vasu, and Raghavan.
