MapD Technologies
MapD is a privately held software company that uses graphics processing units (GPUs) to query and visualize big data. It is headquartered in San Francisco, CA and was founded in 2013. MapD's customers include government, public, and private companies.[1][2][3][4]
In March 2017 MapD, received $25 million in Series B funding from New Enterprise Associates, Inc. (NEA), NVIDIA, Vanedge Capital and Verizon Ventures.[5]
In April 2018, MapD announced the launch of MapD Cloud, the first ever software-as-a service (SaaS) offering of GPU-accelerated analytics.[6][7][8]
