Biography[edit]

Marc Éliard, born June 30, 1958 in Machecoul, is a french bass guitar player.

From the age of 5, he learned to play accordion. He won a lot of prizes until the age of 15. Then he turned to the bass guitar.

He started his career as a jazz musician. In particular, he worked with Christian Vander from 1981 to 1984, being the bassist on the single You (piece included on Enneade compilation) and on Magma's album Merci.

From 1983 to 1986 he played with Jean-Luc Chevalier (who also was part of Magma) among the Dromadaire quartet.

In 1992, he joined Indochine, succeeding Diego Burgar, first bassist of the band. At his time it was made of Nicolas Sirkis (singer and songwriter), Dominique Nicolas (guitarist and composer), Stéphane Sirkis (guitarist), Jean-My Truong (drummer).

More recently, he worked with Mano Solo. He also recorded three albums with singer Guillaume Payen.

Today he is still a member of Indochine and is bassist of the two formations : Yann Viet Free Songs Trio and Yann Viet Free Songs Project.
