Marc Osmate is a Dutch hardcore techno producer and performer, living in Russia.[1] Osmate is the founder of Platinoids.[2]
Style[edit]
His style is typified by a fast tempo (120bpm through 180bpm) and the rhythmic use of distorted, industrial-like beats. The music is aleatoric, and not atonal, instead of industrial hardcore. Osmate writes all the plug-ins he uses himself, and writes the music for his own enjoyment and the pleasure of innovation.
Career[edit]
In 1999, his musical career started when he began a small company which sold plug-ins for music software, and soundscapes for movies and video-games. While testing the plug-ins in combination with the sounds he made, Osmate found out that making music with home-made software was relaxing and inspiring. Inspired by combining electronics and sound, he started to build synthesizers and sequencers. After years of engineering and exploring techniques, there was music.
Platinoids[edit]
In 2008, he decided to start a label to bring his music to the world, and that was when Platinoids was formed. Osmate works as an independent musician. He is not part of any organization or booking agency. With Platinoids he can keep his musical freedom and has no limits to express himself. For the future, depending on the shifting in the music industry, Osmate will continue to exploreg the boundaries of techno hardcore. Combining his work as a sound designer, engineer and producer, Osmate will maintain innovation and progress in his style and individual technique.
