Marci Baer McCarthy (born February 9, 1971), is an American entrepreneur and co-founder, CEO and President of T.E.N., a national technology and security executive networking organization and CEO and Chairman of ISE® Talent. McCarthy also founded the ISE® Executive Forum and Awards, ISE® Talent, and the Marci McCarthy Cybersecurity Certification Scholarship Program.[1] Earlier in her career, she held management positions with Lancope, SecureWorks, Deloitte, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).[2] In 2012, she received a congressional citation from Georgia Representative Hank Johnson for her work in fostering greater professionalism in the IT security industry and enhancing the efforts of the private and public sectors to protect cyberspace. For her efforts, the 4th Congressional District of Georgia declared March 13th Marci McCarthy Day.[3] McCarthy serves on the strategic advisory board for the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals, is a lifetime member of Women in Technology (WIT) Honorary Council[4] and serves on the Board of Directors for TechBridge.[5]
Education and Public Service
McCarthy graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Babson College in 1993.[6]
She was president of Women in Technology (WIT) in 2001[7] and a former Board member of WIT. McCarthy led the Woman of the Year in Technology Awards (WOTY) program for five years. Other non-profit boards that she has served on include the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and the Advisory Board of SciTrek. She was also a Chairman of the American Diabetes Association Father’s Day Council and its Father of the Year Awards program. McCarthy has been a TechBridge board member since 2005[8] and is on the advisory board for the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP).[9] In 2016, McCarthy became a member of the Board of Trustees for the Atlanta Girls' School.[10]
In 2016, the Marci McCarthy Cybersecurity Certification Scholarship Program was founded.[11]

She was a finalist in the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) 2012 Tech Marketing Awards
McCarthy was named the Leadership Character Award winner in the Small/Medium Business Category by the Turknett Leadership Group in 2013.[12][13]
Named a 2015 Top Entrepreneur in the Middle Market Entrepreneur Category by the Atlanta Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE).[14]
She was recognized in the “Who's Who in Georgia's Technology Community” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and a “Woman to Watch” by Atlanta’s BroadSheet.[15]
McCarthy was a 2017 WIT “Woman of the Year" Award Nominee.[16]
She is a contributing author to the book, CLIMB: Leading Women In Technology Share Their Journeys To Success.[17]
