Marcin Kulik is a Polish-born entrepreneur based in Ireland, best known as the co-founder and chief executive of Eiravato, a waste data software company operating in the circular economy sector.[1][2]
Career
Kulik has lived in Ireland since 2004 and founded his first software development agency there in 2006.[3][1]
In October 2015 he co-founded SmartTrace Software, a waste tracking software venture supported by Enterprise Ireland.[3] In late 2016, Kulik won the Best Idea category at the Fingal County Final of Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE), a national competition run by Ireland's Local Enterprise Offices, receiving a €7,000 investment prize and progressing to the Dublin regional final in January 2017.[4][5][3][6][7]
In October 2017, Kulik presented on his company's circular economy business model, based on big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain and predictive analysis, in the circular economy thematic cluster of the first Global Science, Technology and Innovation Conference (G-STIC) in Brussels.[8]
In November 2017, Kulik was named the Business category laureate of the second Irish edition of the "Wybitny Polak" (Outstanding Pole) competition, organised by the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation ("Teraz Polska"), with the award presented at the Embassy of Poland in Dublin by Polish ambassador Ryszard Sarkowicz.[9][10]
SmartTrace was subsequently renamed Eiravato, which Kulik co-founded with Steve Cassidy, combining Kulik's software background with Cassidy's experience in materials management.[1] In 2018, the company raised €550,000 from Enterprise Ireland and private investors.[2] In September 2018, Kulik accepted a distinction in the company category of the "Orły Biznesu Polonii Świata" (Business Eagles of the World Polonia) awards, presented at the World Polonia Economic Forum in Tarnów, Poland, on behalf of Aravato (EIRAVATO).[11] Kulik led Eiravato through Luxembourg's Fit 4 Start accelerator programme, from which it graduated in 2019,[12] and through the seventh edition of the Polish accelerator HugeThing in 2019–2020, during which the company began pilot testing with Procter & Gamble.[13]
In November 2020, Kulik was awarded third prize in the Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg (CYEL) competition organised by Junior Chamber International Luxembourg, in recognition of his work on waste data digitisation at Eiravato.[14][15]
