Marco Ilardi born May 12, 1970 is an Italian researcher in the field of Marine geology, a web developer and a food blogger.
He graduated in 2016 in Geology at the Federico II University of Naples and subsequently collaborated with the Data Processing Center of the Department of Earth Sciences as a Research fellow.
He was part of the Italian National Group of Physical Geography and Geomorphology and was enrolled in the National Order of Geologists.
He was a geomorphology researcher and carried out important studies on marine sediments in Italian coastal areas and in particular on submarine canyons all over the world, for which he developed one of the most important theory on their genesis depending on the coastal morphology on which they insist.
Main observations on genesis and morphological evolution of submarine valleys [1] was published in 1999 on Zeitschrift für Geomorphologie
He correlated the origin of {{#statements:title|from=Q60071403 }} present on the American Atlantic coast with the Pacific coast compared to the African one as well.
Other important publication is The quaternary morpho-evolutionary characteristics of the Garigliano river plain (central-southern Italy) published in 1998[2]
In 1999 he was member of the selected team of a project with the it:Consiglio_regionale_della_Campania for the computerization of geological maps scale 1: 100,000, 1: 25,000, the for the first time in the history the location on them of all the quarries in the area delivered on 30/6/99 to the Campania Region on behalf of the Department of Earth Sciences of Naples [3]
Currently he is an entrepreneur in the IT sector and deals with corporate communication.
In 2012 developed an algorithm for the engineer Gianmaria Valente to distribute the bridge cards then used for the creation of a new game, a new version of the bridge game called Bridge 40 engaging and enjoyable, played using 40 playing card, whose main purpose is to constitute the natural prologue for a less traumatic learning of classical bridge[4][5]
In 2014 was finalist of the important Lamarck award for the most innovative ICT software at it:Smau Naples for a workflow management system developed for a company operating in the energy sector. [6]
He is also a food blogger the editorial director of a food magazine and the author of the book Digital Food[7]
In 2021 and 2022 he will participate as a judge in the Italian DOC pizza championships[8]
