Marquis Deonte Alexander Tarver (born May 22, 1997), popularly known by his stage name Marcoof500, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and executive. Marcoof500 put his footstep in the music industry with the album ‘The Travels of Marco’ in 2018.

Early life[edit]

Born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia[1] and raised in Woodbine city of Camden County, Marcoof500 developed his interest in music at a very young age, 14. He later relocated to Orlando, Florida to pursue his dream career in music.

Career[edit]

During his high school years, Marcoof500 has turned his attention from NFL to music. He started rapping with his friends over mobile phone. To gain some popularity he released his first track Dream girl in 2018. But with his track Take Me Away , an emotionally resonant and peaceful track, Marcoof500 drew attention of people to his unique creation style[2][3]. With a view to keeping old school hip-hop alive, Marquis sticks with the authentic beats and meaningful lyrics[4]. He stepped forward with the release of his second album Marco the Merchant, an inspiration taken from the famous adventurer Marco Polo [5][6].

Artistry[edit]

Marco states that he was influenced by many artists ranging from Lil JoJo and Young Pappy in his earlier years, to Blac Youngsta, Yo Gotti, Lud Foe, Waka Flocka Flame, and Boosie Badazz.

Marcoof500's label imprint, 500 Entertainment LLC (500K) started off as just a group at school, then was officially established into a label in 2018. He owns 100% of 500K's shares [9].
