Production
New Line Cinema originally developed Margie Claus as a live-action film in June 2017, with Ben Falcone directing and writing, Melissa McCarthy and Damon Jones as co-writers, and a release date of November 15, 2019, but it never came to fruition.[1]
In May 2024, it was announced that Warner Bros. Pictures Animation was developing Margie Claus into an animated film, with McCarthy, Falcone and Pilar Flynn producing, from a script by Falcone and Jones.[2]

Margie Claus is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 5, 2027.[2] It was originally set for release on November 15, 2019.[1]
