Marguerite Gance, born on June 20, 1894 as Marguerite Danis, died April 12, 1986, used the name Gance after her marriage to the director Abel Gance as a personal name and as a stage name.
Life
Abel Gance was previously engaged to her sister Ida, and then married Marguerite in 1922 after her sister's death from tuberculosis.
